Beginner - You have sewn before, know your machine, but want to start quilting.
Confident (Confident Beginner) - You already know your sewing machine, can thread it, stitch a straight seam, and have some rotary cutting skills.
Intermediate - You have not only knowledge of the basics of quilting, but have pieced quilts.
Ages 6+ - This class is for elementary school aged children, at least six years old.
A "+" indicates the class is also appropriate for more advanced students.
** For Printing Your Own Fabric, students should be generally familiar with using computers, and will get more from the class if they are already comfortable with some form of computer photo editor.

The class is a hands-on demonstration of how to prepare photographs and other computer images for printing, how to choose and prepare fabric to run through your computer printer, and how to use the Bubble Jet 2000 ink stabilizer to create long lasting washable custom fabrics.
Jeffrey will be teaching the techniques used to create his award-winning memory quilt "I am My Beloved's and My Beloved is Mine", which used ink-jet printed fabric for the main 24"x40" photographic center panel, as well as for the engraved text in granite that surround the main photo.
The computer techniques will be applicable to both Windows and Macintosh users.
Students will be provided with materials for making about 1/4 yard of printed fabric, equivalent to four 8"x10" finished panels.
